It’s hard to know what to say or do in light of recent events. We’re all devastated and confused about what the future may hold. And while it may feel a bit inappropriate to throw a party with so much going on, it’s important to remember the role music has played in the history of resistance.
On Friday, November 18th we present House of Resistance. An all-night dance party showcasing some incredible live musicians and talented visual artists. ALL profits will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union. Tickets will be affordable for all, buy two if you’d like to donate more.
MUSIC is a much needed release in these troubled times. Join us in harnessing love and conquering hate. We must resist.
Dinamo Azari’s new live show can only be described a Azari & III on acid. He will be joined by vocalist James Ken Bailey and Toronto vogue icon Twysted Miyake. Featuring sultry vocals and powerful chants with a distinctive modernly aggressive voguing style, the analog machine-based 4×4 grooves represent the darker side of disco, house, and hypnotic techno. This hybrid of distinctly different colors will create an experience like no other.
Our latest Umbrella Factory Sessions contributor, Andi, will be rounding out the bill with a “dark and dismal set that reflects the mood of the times”. If you’ve heard her play before, you know how heavy it gets.
100% of profits will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union, an organization dedicated to defending voting rights, fighting relentless attacks on reproductive freedom & reforming our racially-biased criminal justice system.
